Orthotics are custom-made shoe inserts, developed from an electronic scanning of the foot.

Orthotics are designed to guide the mechanics of the foot to a precise degree. They support the bones of feet and ankles and help the muscles and tendons to perform more efficiently by putting the foot into a correct alignment.

There are different types of orthotics designed for people of all ages. Orthotics can be made for any number of different activities, shoe gear and foot ailments. Those wearing them may experience relief from previous pain and symptoms, and prevent recurrence of foot, leg and other skeletal pains and conditions.

For those with diabetes, orthotics can be a very effective means of pressure offloading to help with healing foot ulcers, and preventing them from recurring.
