Caron Orelowitz- Podiatrist
Caron was born in Johannesburg and emigrated to New Zealand in 1997. She studied Podiatry at The Witwatersrand Technikon and was in private practice in South Africa for a few years, before setting off to ‘the other side of the world’.
Since 1998 she has been helping people of all ages who have problems with their feet, from the elderly, to sports people, and those who just want some TLC for the feet. She has a special interest in Sports and Paediatrics, and has recently taken on a role as the Podiatrist at The Orthotics Centre in Auckland.
Caron is an active member of Podiatry New Zealand, and Chairperson of AUT Advisory Board for Podiatry.
“It has been a busy couple of years, culminating in a Post Grad Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine through Otago, and am looking forward to incorporating this knowledge and experience into my daily practice.”
Sport and exercise medicine is the study of all human movement, injury prevention, exercise prescription, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement through nutrition, biomechanics, and improved cardiorespiratory efficiency.
